A couple who were hurt in the Aug. 8 bus crash that killed 17 people and injured 38 others say a recapped tire blew out on the Angel Tours bus, sending it over a Highway 75 overpass near Sherman, Texas to the highway below. The 55 Vietnamese-American passengers were heading to Missouri for a religious ceremony for the Virgin Mary.

Plaintiffs Tuan Tran and Lisa Tran also sued Iguala Busmex, Motor Coach Industries and two individuals. They say the right front tire, a recap, blew out, causing or contributing to loss of control that sent the bus off the overpass on U.S. Highway 75.

Plaintiffs are represented in Harris County Court by Steven Kherker.
